About this event

On June 21, 2026, at 2:25 AM, the Sun reaches its northernmost point in the sky, standing directly above the Tropic of Cancer. This is the Summer Solstice, the longest day and shortest night of the year, the moment when solar energy peaks and the Earth is bathed in maximum light. For five thousand years, humans have gathered at sacred sites like Stonehenge, Machu Picchu, and Chichén Itzá to honor this cosmic turning point. The Solstice is not merely an astronomical event, it is an energetic apex. In the Mesoamerican cosmovision, the Sun (Tonatiuh) is the giver of life force (tonalli), and the solstice represents the moment when this life force is most abundantly available. It is the cosmic noon, the peak of the great year-cycle, the moment when what has been growing since the Winter Solstice reaches its fullest expression. In the language of sacred geometry, the Solstice is the point of maximum expansion, the outermost reach of the spiral. But the Solstice also carries a profound teaching: at the moment of peak light, the turning begins. After this day, each successive day grows shorter. This is not a cause for mourning but for wisdom, it reminds us that fullness and release are not opposites but partners. The Solstice asks us: What have you grown? What has reached its fullness? And what, having reached its peak, is now ready to be offered back? During the Fire Horse year, the Summer Solstice takes on extraordinary intensity. Fire meeting Fire, the solar maximum of the year within the most fiery year of the 60-year cycle. This is a day for bold declarations, for stepping fully into your power, for celebrating what you've built and releasing what has ripened. At Dynamis, we will honor the Solstice from sunrise to sunset. The day begins with yoga at dawn, greeting the sun at its most powerful rising. Through the morning, we work with conscious movement and breathwork. As evening falls, we gather around the sacred fire for rapé ceremony, clearing the way for the Sun's teaching to enter us fully. The ceremony closes with a fire offering, returning gratitude to the source of all life. What to expect: Conscious movement and breathwork through the afternoon Community meal prepared with intention Rapé ceremony at the sacred fire as night begins Fire offering and gratitude ceremony at night Solstice meditation during the golden hour Intentional Breakfast during the morning Gratitude Meditation during the morning. Free time to connect with nature Why the energy is amplified: The Summer Solstice is the single most powerful solar day of the year, the apex of light, vitality, and outward energy. In the Fire Horse year, this solar maximum intersects with the most intense fire energy of the 60-year zodiac cycle, creating a "fire within fire" resonance. Stonehenge, the pyramids of Teotihuacán, and countless other ancient sites were built to capture this exact moment. At Dynamis, in the tropical latitude of Costa Rica, the Sun passes nearly directly overhead, making the solstice energy especially potent.
