Retreat Terms & Conditions

Last updated: February 5, 2026

1. Overview

These Retreat Terms and Conditions govern your reservation and participation in retreats, programs, and events at Dynamis Integrative Retreat, located at El Mojal de Tamarindo, Guanacaste, Costa Rica, operated by Lic. Patricio Espinoza (Psychologist, Colegio de Psicólogos de Costa Rica, Code: 13402).

By booking a retreat or program, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms. These terms are supplementary to our general Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

2. Pre-Retreat Health Evaluation

All prospective guests are required to complete a medical and psychological intake evaluation as a precondition for acceptance into any retreat or program. This evaluation helps us ensure your safety and the safety of other participants.

Dynamis reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to decline a reservation if an individual does not meet our screening criteria. In the event of a medical declination during the intake process, a full refund will be issued.

You must disclose all current medications, pre-existing health conditions (physical and mental), history of substance use, and any other information relevant to your safe participation. Failure to disclose relevant health information may result in dismissal from the program without refund.

3. Bookings and Payments

To confirm your retreat reservation, a minimum deposit is required at the time of registration, payable electronically. The remaining balance is due no later than 14 days before the start date of your retreat, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

All prices are quoted in USD (United States Dollars). Accepted payment methods include bank transfer, credit card, and other methods as specified at the time of booking.

A maximum of one discount or promotional offering per registration is accepted, unless otherwise stated.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

All deposits are non-refundable, with the exception of medical declinations during the intake process (see Section 2). However, your deposit may be transferred to a future retreat date or to another person, subject to the following schedule:

4+ weeks' notice: 100% of deposit is transferable to another date or person.
3–4 weeks' notice: 80% of deposit is transferable.
10 days – 3 weeks' notice: 60% of deposit is transferable.
0–10 days' notice: 0% of deposit is transferable — no transfer or refund.

No-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of the retreat start date will incur the full retreat cost.

In case of unavoidable circumstances, your deposit may be transferred to a third party (such as a friend or family member) provided at least 4 weeks' notice is given at no extra cost. The replacement participant must complete the intake evaluation process.

5. Early Departure

In the event of a guest's premature departure from the retreat before the end of their reserved stay, no refunds — whether full or partial — will be granted. All costs associated with transportation from the retreat center shall be borne by the departing guest.

6. Code of Conduct

At Dynamis, we value the safety, healing process, and personal boundaries of all guests. We expect the same consideration from every participant. Any conduct violating these values may result in immediate dismissal from the retreat without refund.

Grounds for immediate dismissal include but are not limited to: (a) sexual harassment or any form of harassment toward guests or staff; (b) actions endangering your own or others' safety; (c) persistent disruptive behavior affecting other guests' comfort or healing process; (d) use of any unauthorized substances within the property; (e) any form of theft or property damage; and (f) refusal to follow safety instructions from the Dynamis team during activities.

Dynamis Integrative Retreat reserves the right to dismiss any guest at any time, at our sole discretion.

7. Participation in Activities

Retreat programs include various activities such as meditation, breathwork, ceremonial practices, group sharing, movement, nature walks, and therapeutic sessions. While we encourage full participation, all activities are voluntary and you may choose not to participate in any specific activity.

If you feel physically or emotionally unable to participate in any activity, please communicate with our facilitators. Your well-being is our priority.

8. Remaining Onsite

For the integrity of your process and the safety of our healing container, all guests are required to remain at the Dynamis property throughout the duration of the retreat. Exceptions may be made with prior authorization from the retreat director.

If you need to leave the property for any reason during the retreat, please inform the team in advance.

9. Travel and Medical Insurance

We strongly recommend that all participants, especially international guests, purchase travel and medical insurance that covers: medical emergencies and evacuation; trip cancellation; and personal liability.

Domestic health insurance may not provide adequate coverage for all activities. Dynamis does not vet insurance plans — please contact your insurance provider for specific coverage questions.

10. Confidentiality

Dynamis respects the privacy of its guests. We do not share personal or contact information among participants without explicit permission.

As a participant, you agree to respect the confidentiality of experiences, stories, and personal information shared by other participants during group activities and ceremonies. What is shared in the circle stays in the circle.

12. Activity Waiver

All participants are required to sign an Activity Waiver and Release Agreement upon arrival at Dynamis as a precondition for participation. This document covers the acknowledgment of inherent risks, consent to emergency medical treatment, and release of liability within the limits of Costa Rican law.

Your acceptance of these Retreat Terms during booking indicates your acknowledgment that you will be required to sign this waiver. If you have questions about the waiver, please contact us before booking.

13. Force Majeure

Dynamis shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, extreme weather, pandemics, government actions, travel restrictions, or infrastructure failures.

In such events, we will work with you to reschedule your retreat or provide credit toward a future program.

14. Governing Law

These Retreat Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
